Finn Grayson is an expert thief. He is hired for a job to steal a priceless artifact fro an extremely wealthy handsome man in New Shanghai. A place where he knows it is not safe to return but won’t turn down the large pay-off for the job.

Cameron Feilong is a wealthy collector of beautiful things, and a dragon. When Finn attempts to steal from him, he has a bit of fun.

Cameron and Finn have a long discussion and discover a bigger plot in the works. They form an alliance to attempt to save the Elemental Shards. Their journey teaches them a lot about themselves and each other.

Laine’s fantastical world was interesting and even though I hadn’t read previous books in this series I had no problem staying with the story.

Paranormal readers would enjoy this book. There is an m/m relationship.
